Location

The park is located adjacent to the beach and gulf pass and jetty in

Port Aransas.

Size in Acres

This is a 167-acre park.

 

RECREATIONAL AMENITIES

Recreational Vehicle/ Tent/ Trailer Facilities: The park

contains 75 pad sites with water and 30 amp power connections

for customers. A designated waste dump station and access to

the Park Office hot showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities

are available for campers as well.

 

Beach Camping Facilities:

Primitive camping sites are available on the beach. Fresh water

rinses and restrooms are also available to the general public.

 

Existing Site Amenities:

                Horace Caldwell Pier: Is a 1,240 linear foot, elevated pier

                that extends into the Gulf of Mexico. It provides access to Gulf

                for fishing, bait and tackle for purchase and rent, and

                concessions for visitors.

 

                Park Office: Houses the administrative operations, where beach accessible

                wheelchairs are available, public restrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities.

 

                Picnic Facilities: Picnic sites equipped with tables and cabanas are situated

                throughout the park and along the beach.

Development of additional shelters, picnic units and other improvements

Horace Caldwell Pier expanded observation deck
