RECREATIONAL AMENITIES

Recreational Vehicle (RV) Facilities:

There are fifty-four (54) RV sites served

by water and electricity. The park provides

for the use of RV visitors a seperate dump

station, bathroom facilities with hot water

showers, and laundry room. Seperate playground

equipment locations in the park.

 

Tent Camping Facilities: Tent camping is permitted

on 35 designated sites in the park with shower and

restrooms available for campers to use.

 

Existing Site Amenities:

 

                Bob Hall Pier: Is a 1,240 foot elevated pier that extends into the

                Gulf of Mexico. It provides access for fishing, bait and tackle for

                purchase and rent, and concessions for visitors. The pier also helps to

                generate favorable conditions for surfing year-around.

 

                Briscoe King Pavilion: Is a pavilion available for daily public rental

                for gatherings. An expansive wooden deck system surrounds the

                north and eastern side of the structure and includes elevated dune

                walkovers that wind through the dunes, extending to the seating areas

                overlooking the beachfront. The facility has water, power, barbeque

                pits, and restrooms and is served by a paved parking area. The facility

                does not have air conditioning or heating at this time, but ceiling fans

                are present to provide circulation. Tables and chairs are made available for use to customers.

 

                Open Air Pavilion: The pavilion is an open air structure located onsite.

 

                Park Office: Houses the administrative operations, where beach accessible

                wheelchairs are available, public restrooms and pay per use hot showers.

 

                Picnic Facilities:

                The park features many picnic sites with tables and cabanas, situated throughout the park and along the beach.

                Paved parking for visitors with 50 picnic tables, three of which are ADA accessible.

Goals

• Development of additional facilities, shelters, decks, and parking areas

• Renovation of existing facilities

• New Observation Deck on Bob Hall Pier

• Expansion of Briscoe King Pavilion for larger/improved events
